Hyderabad, Roaming News:There is an urgent need to transform education to meet modern requirements, introducing innovative teaching and learning methods. These were the views expressed by leaders during an educational seminar chaired by former IAS officer Jayaprakash Narayan on Saturday.Jayaprakash Narayan, head of the Foundation for Democratic Reforms; Chalasani Rao of the North-South Foundation (USA); trustee of Creative Learning and Leadership Initiatives and former AP Director of Education, Sandhya, participated in discussions on measures to enhance teaching and learning capabilities in TRSMA schools.

The talks focused on forming agreements with these organizations to implement initiatives aimed at improving teaching and learning in budget schools under TRSMA. The participants emphasized the goal of building a robust foundation for students’ futures in their PowerPoint presentations.

The discussions included TRSMA State President Sadhula Madhusudhan, Environmental Conservation Council Advisor Komati Reddy Gopal Reddy, State Advisor Palle Vinay Kumar Goud, and others. They shared their perspectives on supporting students’ continuous learning and designing policies to develop their individual talents. The leaders underscored the importance of mentoring and personalized guidance to foster critical thinking among students.Comprehensive Teaching MethodsThe participants highlighted the need to customize teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of students. They emphasized that effective teacher training can bring meaningful changes to skill-based teaching and learning.Innovation in Evaluation Designing evaluation models that uncover students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking abilities is crucial. This would allow educators to identify students’ weaknesses and provide the necessary guidance to overcome them.Emphasis on Well-beingThe discussions stressed the importance of prioritizing students’ mental health, stress-free education, and a balance between curricular and extracurricular activities. Creating a joyful learning environment for students is vital, they said.

The proposal also suggested preparing students for the future world through practical knowledge-based learning. Including project-based learning and vocational training in the curriculum was identified as a key step.Public-Private PartnershipsComprehensive reforms in educational policies, coupled with public-private collaborations, were deemed essential to achieving faster learning outcomes for students.The ideas and proposals emerging from the discussions have paved the way for a new direction in rebuilding the education system. TRSMA is actively moving forward to equip students with skills and knowledge needed for the ever-changing world.
